• Local folklore and legends
• Haunted locations in Derbyshire
• Historical information connected to hauntings
• Photographs connected to a location or event

Submissions should relate to locations within Derbyshire or the wider Peak District area.

2. Information to Include

To help us review your submission, please include as much detail as possible, such as:

• Location name and town/village
• Date or approximate time of the experience
• A clear description of what happened
• Any witnesses present
• Environmental details (time of day, weather, etc.)
• Photographs or supporting information (if available)

The more detail you provide, the easier it is for us to verify and present your story.

3. Accuracy and Honesty

We ask that all submissions are made in good faith. Please ensure that:

• Your story is truthful to the best of your knowledge
• The information you provide is accurate
• You clearly indicate if something is folklore, legend, or personal experience

We reserve the right to edit submissions for clarity or factual accuracy.

4. Respect for Property and Privacy

Submissions must not:

• Encourage trespassing on private property
• Reveal private residential addresses unnecessarily
• Include personal information about individuals without consent

Haunted Derbyshire promotes respectful exploration and responsible visiting of locations.

5. Photos and Media

If you submit images or media, please ensure:

• You have permission to share the image
• The image was taken by you or you have the rights to share it
• The image does not contain identifiable people without permission

By submitting images, you grant Haunted Derbyshire permission to display them on the website.

6. Editing and Publication

All submissions are reviewed before publication. Haunted Derbyshire may:

• Edit submissions for grammar or clarity
• Condense long submissions
• Add historical context or additional information

Not all submissions will necessarily be published. You can track the status of your submissions in your Dashboard.

7. Rights to Submitted Content

By submitting material to Haunted Derbyshire, you grant Haunted Derbyshire / Matlock Ghost Emporium Ltd permission to:

• Publish the submission on the website
• Edit the submission where necessary
• Use the material for informational purposes related to the website

Your story will remain credited where appropriate unless you request anonymity.

8. Anonymous Submissions

If you prefer, you may request that your submission be published anonymously. Please indicate this clearly when submitting your story.
